Our innovative operating model allows us to deliver premium hospitality at an accessible price, maintaining both exceptional guest satisfaction and strong profitability.
We currently develop our own properties to establish high design and service standards. Going forward, our expansion will follow a dual approach: Company-Developed Properties – Built and operated by us to maintain excellence. FOCO Model Franchising – Partnering with property owners while retaining control over the guest experience. Both models will be supported by a centralized backend, ensuring efficient operations, superior unit economics, and an asset-light expansion strategy, making it highly attractive for franchise partners.

Our primary competition comes from local boutique players in each region, along with chain hotels operating in a similar price range, such as The Fern, and other regional hospitality chains. The challenge for most independent regional players lies in three key areas: Limited adoption of technology tools to enhance operations. Lack of access to skilled talent or the resources to train them effectively. Inability to design aesthetically appealing living spaces that elevate guest experiences. Even those who overcome these challenges struggle to scale, leading to higher prices—often exceeding ₹10,000 per night—to sustain their operations. With our unique operating model, we address these inefficiencies, allowing us to deliver a superior hospitality experience at an accessible price while maintaining profitability.
Tell us a bit about how founding team knows each other.
We are engineers turned entrepreneurs driven to redefine hospitality in India. Frustrated by shallow tourist experiences, we launched a travel startup offering immersive cultural journeys in Konkan, Maharashtra. After conducting 40+ tours, we identified a larger issue—the lack of high-quality stays. Recognizing a bigger opportunity, we pivoted to hospitality, leading to the creation of Aalayah Stays to elevate guest experiences through design, service, and operational excellence.
