BPO Environmental is an Indian company registered as a startup for the deployment of a "proven" advanced chemical waste technology that converts plastic waste into a reusable fuel. The technology is also registered under India's "waste to Wealth " program.

The Business Model focuses on one key activity; the processing of plastic waste to produce a high quality pyrolysis oil for re-use in industry. The value proposition encompasses the securing of feedstock from waste processing centres, as well as offtake agreements with industrial users for the finished product.
The plant is deployed at site, and is operational within 30 days of installation, and producing fuel oil for sale as a revenue stream.
Revenue is generated from fuel produced as well as the activated carbon by product.

The competitive landscape for pyrolysis technology in India is dominated by local fabricators, with 2 Chinese origin manufacturers identified in the market (Table 6). Most of the manufacturers, offer plants size above 5ton/day only, with a limited number of manufacturers offering in the 1-2ton/day range.
At present there is no identifiable competitors in India, with similar integrative technologies which include, Dual Fuel, Remote Monitoring, as well as +80% conversion ratio, scalable and modular on a footprint of an ISO container.

Tell us a bit about how founding team knows
each other.
Bret & Anil share a working history in the oil and gas industry. Anil worked for Mafi Trench Corp (USA) in field service, and Bret supported the company in the Middle East as business developer. Bret & Anil, later, also worked with Atlas Copco providing engineering and business development support in the Middle East region.
Why did you decide to start this
company?
Covid and the pandemic in 2019, prompted us to reconnect. Bret returned to India after his MSc degree in the USA, and decided to make India his home, and committed to building a business.
