Startup Description
Source water containing chemical and microbiological impurities is treated using chlorination or ozonation. Chlorination removes contaminants like yeast, mold, and algae. The water then undergoes multi-grade sand and activated carbon filtration to remove suspended impurities, turbidity, color, odor, and organics. Next, micron filtration and reverse osmosis (RO) eliminate chemical impurities such as hardness, TDS, arsenic, and other toxic elements, producing potable water with low TDS, stored in an S.S. 316 tank.
RO water, low in TDS, requires re-mineralization for safe drinking, adding pharmaceutical-grade minerals to balance pH and TDS. A blending system can also introduce filtered pretreatment water for natural ions and salts. Post-mineralization, water passes through fine micron filtration (1 and 0.2 microns), UV treatment for microbiological safety, and ozonation, where ozone gas enhances water stability before being bottled. Ozonated water has an extended shelf life when packed in PET bottles.
