Shoonya Recycling is simplifying the collection, recycling, and trading of Li-ion battery waste through end-to-end waste management solutions. It is a vertically integrated end-of-life battery management solution company.
Shoonya is a company in the urban mining sector that is building an end-to-end solution on Li-ion battery recycling including a marketplace for battery scrap, a SaaS solution for complete EPR management, and its own battery shredding and hydro metallurgical extraction plants.
The company is founded by a team with rich experience in mining, electrical vehicle manufacturing, setting up high-tech manufacturing businesses, and public policy for EVs.
Over the next 12 months we will focus on building two things -
1. MVP of a powerful online marketplace & EPR management platform to service B2B businesses in the battery production and recycling space and
2. Set up two small-scale recycling plants (shredding) in Delhi NCR & Navi-Mumbai with a capability of recycling ~2tons of Li-ion batteries per day (i.e. in a single 8-hour shift) - and a 150kg/day Hydrometallurgical plant for extraction of high value and rare earth metals.

1. Trading of battery waste through a network of 150 collection centres: INR 1Cr per collection centre per month. Projected revenue in 2030 - INR 150-200 Cr.
2. Recycling plant: A total projected revenue of INR 300Cr/year by 2030 from a network of 28 micro recycling plants across 28 states of India.
3. Compliance management software services: Shoonya will manage compliances for a minimum of 500 companies across India through its tech stack. Revenue of INR 50 Cr/year in 2030.
