Sutradhar offers content and products around Indian stories. We have published more than 200 hours of short video content on Indian stories and introduced more than 150 characters via these stories. Our content is watched more than 200 million times across platforms with 500,000+ app downloads and 60,000+ premium users on the app. Each and every story is a starting point for physical products in the form of puzzles, board games, figurines and mobile games. We have launched more than 7 SKUs of puzzles and board games. Four of our products are in top 100 in Amazon launchpad. We generated total revenue of 15 lakh from our physical products with 60% coming from our website. At the end we want to create Bharatverse - an ecosystem built around the ancient epics; which will be an equivalent of Disney in India.

At Sutradhar we are making short video content around Indian stories for mobile phone which is integrated with physical products and events to allow our users to consume the content in multiple formats. We call this Transmedia storytelling. We make money via paid subscribers on our app, selling physical products (toys and games), mobile games and events in future around the content and products we have created. We are building Bharatverse - Transmedia Universe around Indian stories.

each other.
Gaurav and Satish are from same hostel in IIT Bombay and knows each other since 2002.. Shauank is from IDC IIT Bombay.
Why did you decide to start this
company?
We saw need of IP around Indian stories. With emergence of smartphone the distribution is easy and the time for repackaging Indian stories is now.
